Classic Format
This category is open to traditional 750ml bottles. Packages will be judged on their visual appeal, design functionality, appropriateness for the price segment and the creative utilization of the classic bottle format.

Luxury Package
Open to any packaging format that retails for $40 and higher at a 750ml equivalent, whose packages are designed to compete and succeed on high-end restaurant wine lists and in fine wine shops against luxury wines from around the world. Packages will be judged on their visual appeal, design functionality, appropriateness for the price segment and quality of packaging materials used.

Best Package Series Design
The Best Package Series Design is open to entries consisting of two or more pieces that work together as a cohesive whole. Packages will be judged on the cohesiveness of the series, their visual appeal as a series and as individual bottles, design functionality and appropriateness for the price segment.

Package Redesign
The redesign must have been introduced to the marketplace between May 1, 2021, and May 1, 2024. Packages will be judged on the successfulness of the redesign, their visual appeal, design functionality and appropriateness for the price segment.

Alternative/Non-glass Format
This category is open to any packaging not in glass bottle format. Examples include: wine boxes, bags, plastic, cans in 355 ml and larger formats, Tetra Pak, etc. Packages will be judged on their visual appeal, design functionality, appropriateness for the price segment and creative utilization of the alternative packaging format.

2023 Rose of Pinot Noir
Element[AL] Wines is the first-of-its-kind wine brand with 750ml aluminum wine bottles that are shockingly lightweight, infinitely recyclable, and are made in the shape of a traditional wine bottle. This new environmentally friendly format answers the call-to-action from the wine industry to rethink glass bottles, the largest contributor to wine’s carbon footprint.
